Stage1

The Mine’s Stage 1 engine is designed for people that want a very quick street or track car, but without the extra power of the Stage 2. The Stage 1 typically uses HKS GT-SS turbines for very quick spooling and response.

This engine is similar to the Stage 2, but doesn’t include the extensive head work and strengthened parts necessary for the increased power.

Power: 480hp/7400rpm
Torque: 360bft/5400rpm
Boost: 1.2kg/cm2

Every engine is hand built by Mine’s chief engineer, Nakayama-san.

The following is the specification for the engine only.
For customers wishing to have an engine supplied and shipped, it is necessary to also purchase an N1 engine supplied by Nissan, which Mine’s will use as a base engine.

Mine’s Stage 1+ at Fuji Speedway

This short video was taken at Fuji Speedway with Tomohiko Sunako behind the wheel of Aki’s GT-R. The engine is a Stage 1 running GT-SS turbos, but with some extra work done to the head and crank. Details of the car can be found in the Gallery section.

Tomohiko Sunako is a very well know GT-R racer in Japan, and began racing with the Group A R32. Later he drove the R33 for Prince Tokyo, and then the R34.
